Our Corporal Works of Mercy Philippines Mission is based in Loon, Bohol, the hometown of our pastor Fr. Mel Monreal.

Fr. Mel has been instrumental in overseeing the needs of the community after the devastating 7.2 magnitude earthquake of 2013, killing 230 people. In all, more than 73,000 structures were damaged, of which more than 14,500 were totally destroyed including Fr. Mel’s parish Our Lady of Light church. The island was hit two weeks later by the third strongest typhoon in history, Super Typhoon Yolanda killing 6,300 people. Fr. Mel has worked to help rebuild ever since.
